Adam Kadmon:
Hebrew: "The primordial man". The first man of the Jewish Kabbala, who first appeared in 13th century texts. He was the perfect prototype man created by God.
The Kabbalists took up the concept using it to describe the divine symbolism of the human body. Later Adam Kadmon came to be identified with the messiah and was contrasted with the devil Adam Beliyya'al'. He is symbolized by the Sephiroth or ten circles of creation. There are some similarities with the Persian Adam Kasia.
